1 cup of Shetler Unsalted Butter
4 cups of sifted confectioners’ sugar
2 tbsp. of Shetler Whole Milk
1 tsp. of vanilla extract
1 tsp. of almond extract (optional)

1. In large bowl, beat 1 cup of butter with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Then beat in 1 tsp of vanilla
2. Gradually add 4 cups of confectioners’ sugar, one cup at a time, beating well on medium speed. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often. When all sugar has been mixed in, icing will appear dry
3. Gradually add 2 tbsp. of milk: beat at medium speed until light and fluffy
4. Add almond extract and mix well.
Note: use additional flavors or add ins to change flavors, such as extracts, fruits, or chocolate
